    Overview

    Fast paced puzzle game developed as a market exploration tool and  a tech demo of our game’s engine. It is an example of a simple game intended for for use as a template for advergaming tools.

     Match ingredients, make combos to win potions and take advantage of their effects to boost your score. Focus your mind to beat the clock, while the music and colours change as you play.

    My role

    • Game Design

      The game is designed around the concept of matching tiles to eliminate them. I wanted to create a hypnotic feeling by changing the music and the visual effects depending on how well the player was performing.

    • Music & Sound FX

      I composed four different  background music loops, «Normal», «Doing good», «Very Well» and «On Fire».  They were designed to allow for fluidly mixing them.

    • C++ Programmer

      The  game was developed using Telynet Game Engine, an engine made on top of Ogre, OAL and other libraries. The most remarkable programming tasks were relative to the music and sound fx, creating smooth  transitions according to the score income and combos obtained. The most difficult task was to implement an IMA4 compressed audio loader, necessary to reduce the application size keeping audio playback performance.
