    Overview

    Druidae is a German style strategic game based on resources harvesting, storage and movement capacity  management. First I designed and developed the original  board game  and the flash version  in my spare time.  When I joined Telynet to start an advergaming department, I sold the IP to the company, and developed a 3D version of the game for iPhone.

    In Druidae each player represents a druid with the objective of reaching prosperity and wisdom, symbolized by Victory Points. Victory Points are obtained by the profit of selling potions, making the Potion of Wisdom or having menhires

    My role

    • Game Design

      The game is designed around the concept of movement and storage capacity management in order to control, harvest and process resources faster than your opponents.

      The number of  resources and tiles of the map is adjusted to the number of players, to ensure the competition.  The game has a fixed duration of 4 Moon Cycles (rounds) of 5 days (turns).

    • Artwork

      I created all the artwork for the original board game, the flash version and also for the iPhone 3D version.

    • Flash Developer

      To be able to quickly showcase the game I decided to create a fully playable flash version of the game.

    • C++ Programmer

      The iPhone version of the game was developed using Telynet Game Engine, a engine made on top of Ogre, OAL and other libraries.

      The game was implemented using reusable components from the engine, the IA Players having been the only specific code.
